Air Care is pleased to offer our Tenth Annual one-day conference for emergency medical professionals. This year's program will cover a variety of topics that address the safest and most up-to-date methods of emergency medical management throughout the life-span.

Conference Objectives

By the end of the conference the attendee will be able to:

  • Discuss specific methodology which helicopter EMS can use to improve time to reperfusion in STEMI patients.
  • Discuss the implication and use of Capnography in pre-hospital and emergency care.
  • Discuss the commonly used medications that can result in serious injury or death after a single ingestion in the pediatric population.
  • Discuss the new treatments and guidelines for thoracic trauma care.
  • Describe the efficacy, safety, cost and practicality of non-surgical hemostatic agents and devices (e.g. tourniquets).
  • Review the interpretation of 12 Lead EKG as it relates to Acute Coronary Syndrome.
  • Review the recent use of simulator training in the EMS environment and how it has impacted patient care.
  • Discuss the importance and methods of proper scene assessment for trauma patients.
  • Utilize discussed criteria for triage to trauma center including general guidelines for requesting air transport from a scene.
  • Identify special considerations when triaging pediatric and geriatric trauma patients.
  • Recognize the important role that collaboration plays in the rapid transport of patients. Learn how to effectively utilize the Air Care team to help patients in time critical situations.
